Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to support a Canadian natural gas-fired power project. The six‑month contract focuses on due diligence, contract development, negotiation and ongoing management with wide cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, construction, commercial and project teams.

The role may be based in Ontario or Saskatchewan and is intended to start as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline.
• Significant experience in procurement, commercial management, and contract management.
• Experience with natural gas or thermal power projects in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contractual due diligence for equipment, EPC documentation and project acquisition.
• Prepare due diligence reports outlining risks, opportunities and mitigation measures.
• Manage contractor prequalification and establish procurement/contract strategy.
• Negotiate and develop open-book procurement and construction agreements.
• Track KPIs, ensure contract records, and manage variation and claims processes.
