Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to lead contracting and contract administration for a portfolio of large-scale construction projects in Western Canada. You will shape strategy, manage risk, negotiate high‑value contracts, and drive change, claims resolution, and close-out.

You will advise project and executive leadership, coordinating with engineering, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure governance and maximum value, while operating on-site at Prince George

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 20+ years in contracts, commercial management, procurement, or contract administration in large-scale construction, Oil & Gas, pipeline, EPC or EPCM projects.
• Proven experience managing large, complex construction contract portfolios valued in hundreds of millions to billions of dollars.
• Experience across pre-award contracting activities and post-award contract administration.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English; willingness to work on-site in Prince George, BC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute contracting strategies aligned with project goals, schedules and risk profiles.
• Lead competitive contracting processes including market engagement, prequalification, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award.
• Assess proposals considering cost, risk, schedule, technical capability and value.
• Lead negotiation strategies for complex, high-value contracts.
• Provide recommendations on contract awards and commercial decisions to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, finance, legal, project controls and project management teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure governance, approvals and policies are followed.
