Job summary

Interpro Recycling is seeking a hands-on Yard Worker in Alberta to support vehicle processing and site upkeep. You will drain fluids, remove batteries and tires, and help maintain accurate vehicle records and inventory.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient, and a Class 5 license is needed to operate the yard vehicle. The role offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for apprenticeship and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or CAEC/GED or must pass a comprehension assessment.
• No experience required but prior work in manufacturing, production, scrap yard/auto parts is a plus.
• Loader operator experience is an asset.
• Must have Class 5 license to drive the yard vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drain appropriate automobile fluids (gasoline, antifreeze, A/C etc.) to assist with processing of vehicles.
• Remove batteries and jacks from vehicles.
• Remove catalytic converters from vehicles as needed.
• Remove tires and rims from vehicles.
• Yard maintenance including clean up and parts disposal.
• Vehicle inventory and record keeping.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any procedural abnormalities.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
