Responsibilities

• Report to the Operations Manager.
• Vehicle processing: draining appropriate automobile fluids (gasoline, antifreeze, etc.).
• Remove non‑ferrous material, catalytic converters, tires, rims and other components.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any procedural abnormalities.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• High‑school diploma, CAEC/GED, or comparable assessment pass.
• No prior experience required, but experience in a manufacturing, production or scrap yard/auto‑parts environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of automotive components is an asset.
• Valid Class5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation to/from a remote location.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting and pushing/pulling up to 50lb).
• Willingness to work in variable weather conditions (hot or cold), dust, odors, fumes and noise.
• Organized, able to prioritize competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills – clear verbal, mobile‑radio and written communication.
• Polite, friendly customer‑service orientation and strong work ethic.
