Job summary

OrganiGram Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a Processing Technician to join our production team. The role involves following SOPs/GMPs, conducting sampling and weighing, and maintaining accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong quality and safety focus, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Prior experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus, and weekend/shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing is an asset.
• Able to meet physical demands (standing, bending, walking, repetitive tasks).
• Flexibility to work shift work as required.

Responsibilities

• Comply with SOPs and GMPs in a full-scale production environment.
• Conduct sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain product quality.
• Escalate issues to shift lead or supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping of the production area.
• Complete startup/ cleaning checklists.
• Document information accurately throughout daily routine.
• Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to complete all shift tasks.
• Clean and maintain production stations.
• Follow health and safety policies.
• Escalate quality deviations or production constraints when needed.

Processing Technician

Location: Winnipeg
Status: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7 am to 530 pm

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a full-scale production environment.
• Conduct programs of sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain quality standards of products.
• Responsible for escalating issues to shift lead/supervisor
• Responsible for general housekeeping of production area.
• Responsible for completion of startup/cleaning checklists
• Ensure accurate information and data are being documented throughout the day to day routine
• Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed for the shift
• Cleaning and maintenance of production stations
• Adherence to health and safety policies
• Escalate quality deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor
• Other duties as may be required.
