Job summary

OrganiGram Inc in Winnipeg is seeking a Processing Technician to join our fast-paced production team. The role emphasizes strict adherence to SOPs and GMPs, accurate data recording, and active collaboration with shift leads to meet daily production goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong safety awareness, the ability to work both independently and in a team, and a proven track record in manufacturing environments. Shift work is required, with full-time hours Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing would be considered an asset.
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, bending, and repetitive work.
• Ability to follow SOPs and GMPs and maintain clean, safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and GMPs in a full-scale production environment.
• Sample, weigh and analyze to maintain product quality.
• Escalate issues to shift lead/supervisor.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the production area.
• Complete startup and cleaning checklists.
• Document information accurately throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to finish daily tasks.
• Clean and maintain production stations.
• Adhere to health and safety policies.
• Escalate deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required.

Processing Technician

Location: Winnipeg
Status: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7 am to 530 pm

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in a full-scale production environment.
• Conduct programs of sampling, weighing and analysis to maintain quality standards of products.
• Responsible for escalating issues to shift lead/supervisor
• Responsible for general housekeeping of production area.
• Responsible for completion of startup/cleaning checklists
• Ensure accurate information and data are being documented throughout the day to day routine
• Collaborate with shift lead/supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed for the shift
• Cleaning and maintenance of production stations
• Adherence to health and safety policies
• Escalate quality deviations or production constraints to shift lead/supervisor
• Other duties as may be required.

• Strong sense of work quality and safety;
• Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;
• Capable of working both independently and on a team;
• Good communication skills both written and verbal;
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset;
• Previous production experience would be considered an asset;
• Keen eye for detail;
• Ability to meeting physical demands including reaching, bending, walking, standing and performing repetitive work;
• Flexibility to work shift work as required.
