Job summary

MDI Holdings Corp. in Winnipeg is seeking a Production Machine Operator to keep our production lines running safely and efficiently. You will operate key equipment, monitor performance, and work with your team to deliver consistent results—every shift, every batch.

The role emphasizes adherence to quality and safety standards, proactive problem-solving, and teamwork to sustain production and improve processes. A high school diploma and basic manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with HACCP or quality systems is not specified.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, start up, and shut down plant equipment to keep production flowing smoothly.
  • Monitor processes and respond quickly to maintain efficiency and meet daily targets.
  • Package and move finished product to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and quality standards to ensure product integrity.
  • Perform product checks and record results accurately.
  • Support corrective actions when quality issues arise.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper PPE use.
  • Report and elevate risks, incidents, or unsafe conditions quickly.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture through active participation.
  • Share ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment and following detailed processes
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience is a bonus
