Job summary

St Joseph's Parish School in Weipa is seeking a Principal for a Full-Time, fixed-term leadership role of six years. The successful candidate will model faith in action, lead the college community to enact a shared vision centered on world-class education enriched by Catholic faith, and uphold the school’s Catholic ethos and safeguarding commitments.

• Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
• Successful teaching experience including religious education.
• Leadership experience with demonstrated ability in religious and educational leadership.
• Demonstrated administrative ability.
• Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development with reference to Religious Education.
• Written and verbal communication skills of a high order.
• Commitment to Pastoral Care of the school community.
• Skills for building community including facilitation, delegation and consultation.
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Current driver's license.
• Strong commitment to Catholic Education's objectives, vision and ethos.

Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Senior Leadership position (6-year contract)

This position holds a Permanent Substantive Teacher Position within the Cairns Diocese

Salary Range: Paid in accordance as per the Diocese of Cairns, Catholic Education - Principals' Agreement
