Kolbe Catholic College invites a Learning Leader (VET) to steer internal VET programs, monitor student progress, and coordinate external VET partnerships within our Greenvale/Mickleham campuses. You will guide curriculum design, reporting, budgeting, and staff development to support a Catholic education where students thrive.

  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Deputy Principal and Curriculum Leader (Years 11 & 12) with the design and implementation of internal VET Programs, including coordinating relevant curriculum documentation, curriculum design, and subject handbooks
  • Monitor student achievement and progress in VET studies
  • Liaise with the Administrative Assistant (Senior Curriculum) to monitor and ensure accurate and consistent reporting on VASS in line with VCAA requirements
  • Coordinate the external VET program for students at the College, including liaising with the Hume VET Cluster regarding available courses, coordinating student enrolment, and monitoring attendance and progress.
  • Prompt follow-up of attendance and/or progress issues ensuring clear and regular communication with external providers, internal VET teachers, students, parents and College leadership to intervene as early as possible where students are at risk
  • Assist with the management of Staff VET Accreditation
  • Contribute to student subject selection processes
  • Contribute to transition experiences and programs for students, including Discovery Days, Pre-Start programs etc.
