Qualifications

Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic Invites Applications For The Position Of TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO) ST. GREGORY, OUR LADY OF FATIMA & ST. LUKE

1.0 FTE

0.4 FTE Our Lady of Fatima – Primary Prep (Monday & Tuesday)

0.4 FTE St. Gregory – Primary, Junior Music and Phys Ed Prep (Wednesday & Thursday)

0.2 FTE St. Luke – ELK and Intermediate English Prep (Friday)

Effective immediately, For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 30, 2027.

Mandatory Requirements

• Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions

Preferred Requirements

• Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
• Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
• Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
• Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
• Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
• Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
• Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
• Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
