Job summary

SRK Consulting is seeking a seasoned geotechnical engineer for permanent, full-time work in Canada. The role involves leading projects on tailings and mine waste, site investigations, data analysis, and design across Canadian and international sites.

Based in Quebec City, Montreal, or Toronto, you will collaborate with SRK’s global team and travel as needed. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience, PEng/OIQ eligibility, bilingual English/French, and a willingness to work in diverse

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in geotechnical, geological, environmental or civil engineering.
• More than 10 years of engineering experience.
• Registered or eligible for professional registration (OIQ and PEng).
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel locally, nationally and possibly internationally.
• Bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Execution or leadership of geotechnical projects related to tailings and mine waste.
• Support or lead geotechnical site investigations and instrumentation programs.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, models and methods.
• Interface with clients and perform site visits/inspections as necessary.
• Provide on-site construction supervision for mine-site projects.
• Manage geotechnical data, analysis and reporting.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and design.
• Prepare drawings, technical reports and memos.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design teams with hydrotechnical, hydrogeological and civil disciplines.
• Engage in development and advancement of SRK's engineering practice and business development.
• Mentor others within the team.
