Job summary

Equilibrium is a specialist geotechnical consultancy delivering tailings, mine waste, and related mining infrastructure support. We seek a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations, design and risk-based assessment across tailings and waste facilities.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate field programs, review reports, and contribute to client engagements, project planning, and continuous improvement of Mine Waste practice. Hybrid, Canada-based role with global projects.

Qualifications

7–10 years of geotechnical experience in mining or consulting.
Experience with tailings dams, waste rock spoils, and mine waste facilities.
Health and safety focus with risk management experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver geotechnical investigations, assessments, and designs for tailings and mine waste facilities.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
Plan and coordinate field investigations, inspections and construction support.
Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, and specifications.
Support client communications, project planning, budgets and schedules.
Develop tools, workflows, and QA/QC practices within Mine Waste.
