Fortinet is seeking a Senior PreSales Security Expert to work closely with a senior sales representative in a defined territory. The main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, customer POCs (proof of concepts), and post-sales.

Responsibilities
  1. Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
  2. Sales calls - be the main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications, and functionality to integration.
  3. Be conversant with networking applications and solutions.
  4. Post-sales - serve as the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues, working closely with the support and engineering teams to resolve customer issues.
  5. Provide post-sales training assistance to customers.
  6. Interface regularly with, support, and train Fortinet Channel partners in your region.
  7. Present at events, seminars, and meetings with customers and partners.
  8. Travel flexibility within the designated region and occasionally to other regions.
Required Skills
  1. 8+ years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a pre-sales or security expert.
  2. 7+ years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
  3. Ability to design network and security solutions, utilize Visio, and create BOMs.
  4. Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Firewalling, NGFW, policies, NAT, IPS, AntiMalware, and related technologies.
  5. Strong understanding of protocols like TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, and security technologies such as PKI, Certificates, SSL VPN, IPSEC, etc.
  6. Experience with encryption and authentication technologies.
  7. Strong troubleshooting, presentation, communication, and writing skills.
  8. Additional knowledge in Wifi, Load Balancing, Application Delivery, Cloud, SDN, NFV, Virtualization, SIEM, and Data Center redundancy is a plus.
  9. Previous vendor or reseller experience is advantageous.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
