Harris Corporate IT is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst to join our team!
This person will participate in evaluating, developing, and implementing security tools, standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms in private and commercial cloud environments as needed.
As the Cloud Security Analyst, you will utilize your expertise in access control management, cybersecurity, vulnerability management, risk management, incident management, security frameworks, and other areas to provide security support for the Harris group of companies.
What your impact will be :
- Responsible for cloud security controls, processes, architecture consultation, design, and monitoring.
- Performs vulnerability scanning for network devices, applications, and databases to identify vulnerabilities.
- Analyzes and assesses security incidents and escalates incidents following the incident response plan.
- Monitors activities and events to detect, classify, and act upon anomalous behavior promptly.
- Develops and maintains standard practices and procedures for responding to threats.
- Manages and analyzes security information and event management (SIEM) tools to identify and respond to events.
- Assesses risks and vulnerabilities to develop baselines and respond to deviations.
- Manages access control, including auditing current controls, recommending improvements, and tracking remediation.
- Conducts risk assessments for regulatory compliance such as HIPAA, PCI, etc.
- Installs, maintains, and monitors security tools to protect systems and data.
- Performs security assessments of applications, databases, servers, and network devices.
- Collaborates with IT teams to resolve security issues promptly.
- Develops corrective and remediation plans for vulnerabilities or risks.
- Evaluates emerging technologies for security gaps and capabilities.
- Participates in security audits, incident exercises, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Supports security incident escalation and remediation with the Information Security Officer.
- Reviews security controls before hardware/software deployment to production.
What we are looking for :
- At least 5 years of experience as a System or Network Administrator (Unix/Windows).
- Minimum of 3 years in a security operations center or security-related role.
- At least 2 years of experience in cloud security.
- Experience in access control and identity management in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Azure Platform and Infrastructure services.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Azure ARM, Ansible, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python and PowerShell.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Sentinel, AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Monitoring, Splunk, etc.
- Hands-on experience managing security tools (e.g., Web Content Filtering, Anti-Malware, Firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Ability to write security requirements and design documents.
- Skill in analyzing system logs and data from security and network devices.
- Knowledge of security controls, vulnerabilities, regulatory standards, and legal considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
What will make you stand out :
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, MCSE are assets.
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bilingual in English and French is a plus.
