Job summary

Driftwood Dental in Canada is seeking a Practice Manager to lead daily operations, coach the team, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role covers staffing, budgeting, and vendor management to support growth and patient care.

The position requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a dental setting and a diploma in business/administration; strong knowledge of dental software and MS Office is essential.

About the Practice

Driftwood Dental is a dental practice that values patient care and professional growth.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8a.m.—5p.m. (No evenings or weekends).

Compensation & Benefits

Practice Manager salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year, with an annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operational Planning & Execution: Build and execute plans to improve daily operations, ensure maximum productivity, operational excellence, and develop strategies to increase organic patient growth.
• Clinic Environment & Business Indicators: Constantly review clinic environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement; coach and direct the team.
• Compliance & Patient Safety: Partner with Compliance, DC Institute, and Human Resources to ensure full compliance with provincial health regulations; manage all compliance programs and lead by example for patient safety. Work in accordance with Health and Safety policies and applicable legislation.
• Leadership: Lead, coach and motivate the team to improve productivity, engagement, and retention. Implement company programs, policies, and procedures, supporting action plans to meet operational and company objectives.
• Recruitment and Staffing: Support recruitment efforts, interview dental professionals, assess fit; manage and analyze daily staffing costs and payroll administration; oversee accounts receivable process.

Qualifications

• University or College Diploma in business or office administration.
• 3–5 years experience as a Dental Practice Lead or Dental Practice Manager.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role contributing to business operations (staff scheduling, finances, inventory, people management).
• Strong business acumen with budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Experience with dental software systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong commitment to maintaining health regulation and operational standards.
• Willingness to work varied hours to align with business needs.
