Clean Harbors is seeking a Lead Mechanic in Westlake, LA to perform maintenance on vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. Excellent wage with overtime and a $5,000 sign-on bonus accompany full-time employment.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks, record work and parts, and support drivers with issues. Benefits begin after a probationary period and include training and advancement opportunities.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years experience with heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
• Proficient with computers.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Related mechanical certifications a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubrication).
• Assist drivers with vehicle issues.
• Record time, parts, and inspection checklists accurately.
• Move company equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Diagnose and repair various systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, etc.).
• Operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and other tools safely.
