Job summary

Clean Harbors Edmonton AB is seeking a Ticketed Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician/Mechanic to join a safety-first team in our shop. This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Thursday, 11.5 hours per day, focusing on maintenance and repair of heavy-duty units including tractors, trailers, and loaders.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.
• 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Experience with Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in every task and follow safe work practices.
• Secure equipment before work (use chock blocks and jack stands) and perform thorough inspections.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and light/ heavy-duty vehicles.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Mentor apprentices in the shop and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.

Clean Harbors Edmonton AB is looking for a Ticketed Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician/Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! This is a permanent full-time position in our shop, Monday - Thursday 11.5 hours/day. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty units including, but not limited to tractors, trailers, and loaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs (i.e. Uses chock blocks and jack stands).
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify & perform required repairs.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required.
• Journeypersons will mentor apprentices in shop.
• Perform regular housekeeping, ensure the work area is free of hazards at all times.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Previous experience quoting jobs preferred.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.
