Clean Harbors is seeking a Lead Mechanic for their Westlake, LA location. The role involves heavy maintenance of trucks and equipment, diagnosing issues, and ensuring safety compliance. Qualified applicants will have 2-3 years of heavy-duty truck experience, basic computer comfort, and their own tools. A valid driver's license and relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubrication).
• Assist drivers with vehicle issues.
• Record time, parts, and inspection checklists accurately.
• Move company equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
• Operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and other tools safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
