Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the execution of large and complex powerline construction projects. You will estimate new and upcoming projects, develop execution strategies, coordinate resources, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

This office-based role includes leadership in safety, quality, procurement, scheduling and cost control, with opportunities for professional growth across Ontario sites.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of related work experience in powerline construction or similar utility/industrial construction projects.
• 3+ years cumulative experience estimating powerline construction projects.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or in a similar direct managerial role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current practices and methodology.
• Strong negotiation and management skills; ability to organize and plan with multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, budget and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across stakeholders; proactive problem-solving.
• Track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project and promote Ledcor HS&E standards.
• Lead subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations for complex projects.
• Own pursuit estimates and manage bid package responsibilities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for large, complex bids and review summaries.
• Develop and maintain construction schedule with project team to meet milestones.
• Facilitate project meetings and monitor progress via Project Quality Program.
• Identify and manage opportunities and risks to protect schedule and financial targets.
• Maintain, track and report financial aspects including forecasts and billings.
