Job summary

SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is seeking an Operator, Water Treatment Plant to run potable water and wastewater treatment systems at our Seabee camp. You will report to the Supervisor, Water Treatment and coordinate with Mill, Maintenance and Electrical teams to maintain plant reliability.

The role requires Saskatchewan Class 2 Water Treatment certification and a science or engineering background. Liaising with multiple departments and adhering to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Saskatchewan Operator Certification in Water Treatment.
• Post-secondary education in a relevant science or engineering discipline is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for potable water treatment and wastewater treatment operations and employee safety.
• Accountable for working with appropriate PPE, tools and equipment.
• Reports to Environment Supervisor (Water Treatment) for the safe and efficient operation of the Seabee Potable, Santoy Potable and Santoy 8 Water Treatment Plant.
• Coordinate with the Mill, Maintenance and Electrical department, submit work orders and/ or notifications to ensure the water treatment plant equipment is adequately maintained.
• Work closely with other departments to keep the Potable and wastewater plants running smoothly and minimize down time.
• Any other duties as assigned by the department.
