Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. operates the Seabee Gold Operation, located about 500km northeast of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in a remote camp. This role leads daily mill maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and production support in a demanding mining environment.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance Operations, you will manage crews, coordinate work orders, and drive continuous improvement while upholding the highest safety standards and regulatory compliance for efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Red Seal, Industrial Mechanic certificate.
• 2–3 years of mill maintenance experience.
• Preference for mining industry and underground experience.
• Familiarity with SAP CMMS is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise mill maintenance crews and contractors.
• Assign work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor equipment performance and respond to breakdowns or urgent repairs.
• Collaborate with planners, operations, and engineering to schedule preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure spare parts, tools, and materials are available for planned work.
• Support root-cause analysis for equipment failures and propose improvements.
• Enforce safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote safety culture.
• Train and mentor maintenance crews; evaluate performance and develop skills.
• Assist with maintenance budgeting and track labor hours and materials.
