SSR Mining Inc. is an intermediate gold company with five producing assets in the USA, Turkey, Canada, and Argentina, and a global pipeline of high‑quality exploration assets. The Seabee Gold Operation is located in the boreal forest of Saskatchewan, approximately 500 km northeast of Saskatoon.

Job Description

We are hiring a Mine Engineer, Senior to join the Technical Services team at the Seabee Gold Operation. The role reports to the Superintendent, Mine Engineering and focuses on designing and improving mining engineering practices and supporting departmental targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead infrastructure projects, feasibility studies, equipment procurement and prepare capital expense packages.
  • Create and automate reports, analyze data, combine mining costs and economics, and provide technical documentation for decision‑making.
  • Support ice road procurement and resupply with accurate forecasting of required supplies.
  • Implement Deswik.OPs to connect mid‑range and short‑range plans, reducing reliance on Excel.
  • Calculate mineable reserves in collaboration with business partners.
  • Identify and implement improvement and operational excellence opportunities across the organization.
  • Maintain high quality standards in all work.
  • Assist in preparing medium‑ and long‑range mine plans.
  • Adhere to mine design programs, systems, and procedures that meet industry standards and continually seek improved design processes.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Services team to maintain focus and alignment.
  • Create a strong safety culture through engagement and empowerment.
  • Maintain a valid security screening document or equivalent, as required by Mines Regulations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the department.

Education and Experience
  • Certificate or Diploma in Mining Technology with fifteen (15) years of underground mining experience, or a degree in Mine Engineering or related field with ten (10) years of underground mining experience.
  • Experience with Deswik and Deswik.OPs is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Power Query, and PowerBI.
Working Conditions

The position follows a 2‑weeks‑on, 2‑weeks‑off schedule at a remote camp. Employees will fly in and out with pick‑up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
