Job summary

Sagard Holdings Manager LP in Montreal seeks a Portfolio Analyst to bridge investment and operations teams. You will own the complete portfolio lifecycle from deal execution to reporting, working directly with investment professionals and powering operations.

Key duties include trade blotters, capital activity tracking, reconciliations, NAV and fee verification, performance analytics, and client-ready reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in investment operations, middle office, fund administration or performance measurement at an institutional asset manager
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement conventions across asset classes
• Degree in Finance or Accounting; CFA/CIPM progress is a strong asset
• Advanced Excel and data manipulation; experience with SQL, Python or workflow automation an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in French and English for Quebec operations

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end trade blotters across asset classes and monitor settlements
• Track private markets capital activity: calls, distributions, subscriptions and redemptions
• Track corporate actions and reflect accurately in portfolio records
• Perform reconciliations of positions, cash and transactions with custodians and fund admins
• Verify fund pricing, NAVs and fee calculations against source docs
• Compute portfolio performance monthly and quarterly with attribution against benchmarks
• Produce recurring performance reporting packages and client materials
• Support analytics and data requests for investment committee materials
• Identify operational inefficiencies and develop automated workflows and AI-driven tools
• Document procedures and strengthen controls as the platform grows
