Job summary

Mackenzie Investments in Toronto is seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to deliver timely, accurate portfolio analytics, reporting and data solutions. This role blends core analytics with automation, dashboard development and AI-enabled workflows.

Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Analytics, you will build scalable tools, validate data, and partner with business groups to improve transparency, efficiency and decision-making through Python, SQL and modern BI platforms.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, finance, computer science, data analytics or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of portfolio analytics, performance measurement or data analytics experience.
• Strong SQL, Python and dashboarding experience with BI platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver investment performance analytics, portfolio characteristics and related reporting outputs.
• Validate daily accounting, holdings and analytics data; investigate discrepancies.
• Design, build and maintain Python, SQL and automation scripts for reporting and reconciliation.
• Develop dashboards and self-serve analytics to improve visibility and trends.
• Apply AI-enabled approaches with governance and review standards.
• Identify root causes of issues and implement scalable improvements.
• Maintain process documentation, data lineage and test cases.
