Job summary

Brentwood Bay Resort is seeking a Facilities Technician to own the systems, buildings, and grounds that keep our oceanfront property running smoothly. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems, while supporting guest rooms, restaurants, spa, marina, pools, and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of facilities, building maintenance, or hospitality maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance software.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and WorkSafeBC standards.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
  • A positive, dependable, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the resort.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building systems.
  • Maintain pools, hot tubs, and saunas, including water quality and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor mechanical, heating, ventilation, and electrical systems.
  • Respond promptly to guest and team maintenance requests.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system.
  • Support landscaping, seasonal property maintenance, snow removal, and exterior upkeep.
  • Work alongside contractors to ensure projects are completed safely and to Resort standards.
  • Contribute to facility improvement projects that enhance efficiency and extend the life of Resort assets.

You’ll work across our boutique oceanfront resort, supporting guest rooms, restaurants, spa, marina, pools, hot tubs, saunas, back‑of‑house facilities, and beautiful outdoor spaces.
