The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in policy writing/development and research an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, public health, public administration, healthcare administration or a degree/diploma in a relevant health discipline required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills, with experience in managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Effective facilitation skills to lead stakeholder meetings and ensure collaborative policy development.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision in policy writing and documentation.
  • Excellent research skills, including the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and apply it to policy development.
  • Ability to comprehend abstract and complex concepts and translate them into concrete, simple, user-friendly documents.
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft programing including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Relevant professional regulatory requirements.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act.
  • Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
  • The Health System Governance and Accountability Act.
  • Other applicable legislated acts.
  • Shared Health clinical protocols, care maps and associated documents.
  • Other applicable Shared Health policies, procedures, guidelines, and directives.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings.
  • Ability to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
