Job summary

ADRT CONTRACTING Ltd in British Columbia is seeking a plasterer with 1 year to less than 2 years of experience to join our on-site crew. You will prepare surfaces, apply, level and smooth coats of plaster, measure and install drywall sheets and mould ornamental plaster where needed.

This full-time, on-site role covers both commercial and residential projects. No degree is required, but you must be physically capable and reliable, with client focus and flexibility to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plastering or related trades.
• No degree required for this position.
• Experience with plastering, drywall installation and surface preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
• Clean and prepare surfaces
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
• Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
• Estimate costs and materials
