Job summary

Smart crew wall and ceilings ltd. is seeking a hardworking drywall installer helper to join our on-site team in British Columbia. The role requires physical work at heights and in dusty environments.

You will prepare surfaces, cut and install drywall sheets, and assist with metal corner beads and lath as needed. English literacy and a secondary school diploma are expected, with 1 to <7 months of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
• English language skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring.
• Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets.
• Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
