Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a key production facility in Wetaskiwin, AB. You will be accountable for the overall performance of the plant, ensuring the production of a high-quality product while fostering a world-class culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5–10 years of leadership in manufacturing, strong financial acumen, and experience with Lean Six Sigma. You will mentor a cross-functional team and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives (Six Sigma or Lean).
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L/budget experience.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the facility's operational and financial results, including production costs, labour, and capital planning.
  • Lead production, maintenance, QA, supply chain, and safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma or Lean to lower costs.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets with P&L accountability.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (CFIA, health & safety).
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
