Job summary

Agrocorp Processing Ltd. in Innisfail, Alberta, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead daily plant operations, manage safety, quality, procurement and logistics, and drive cost efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on decision-making to meet regulatory, quality and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will oversee plant operations, supervise staff, manage budgets, and foster continuous improvement across grain purchasing, storage and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in agriculture, agribusiness, operations management, engineering, business administration or related discipline.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in grain elevator, processing facility, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of grain commodities, grading, storage, processing and handling preferred.
• Experience with logistics, rail coordination, transportation, inventory, and shipping procedures.
• Experience managing employees, contractors, budgets, maintenance and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety practices and incident investigations.
• Experience working with growers, suppliers, customers, inspectors and logistics partners.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar contract-management systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, oversee daily plant operations and budgets.
• Ensure safe, efficient production, cleaning, receiving, storage, and shipping.
• Coordinate resources to meet operational and shipping requirements.
• Schedule maintenance, repairs, and planned shutdowns with contractors.
• Identify upgrades to improve safety, efficiency and asset value.
• Communicate logistics positions and execution concerns across teams.
