Job summary

JBS Food Canada Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize the maintenance function at the Belleville, Ontario facility.

The role reports to site leadership and focuses on equipment performance, preventive maintenance and cost control. The position requires a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree or Journeyman certification with 15+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with food/meat processing and unionized teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Journeyman certification with 15+ years progressive experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, especially food/meat processing.
• Extensive management experience in a unionized setting.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, labour relations and related regulations.
• Strong analytical and computer skills with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Foster health and safety culture across maintenance activities.
• Manage budgets, plans, programs and work assignments for maintenance.
• Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for technicians.
• Oversee parts purchasing and inventory control to control costs.
• Supervise contractors and maintain service records and reports.
• Ensure reliable operation of building infrastructure, HVAC and equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement to meet productivity, quality and waste-reduction goals.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and safety across maintenance and production.
