Job summary

Bimbo Canada in Alberta is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead millwrights and electricians in a unionized, fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will drive safe, proactive maintenance strategies, oversee budgets, and collaborate with the Maintenance Planner and Parts Coordinator to ensure reliable plant operations.

The ideal candidate holds a licensed millwright or electrician ticket or a relevant bachelor’s degree, with 3+ years in a maintenance leadership role in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Trade certification as a Licensed Millwright or Licensed Electrician or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3+ years as a maintenance manager in unionized, automated manufacturing.
• Experience in food/beverage packaging is an asset.
• PLC troubleshooting and programming is an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop millwrights and electricians in a unionized environment with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Manage maintenance strategy, budgets, and collaboration with planners and coordinators.
• Drive proactive maintenance, minimize downtime, and oversee capital projects.
• Ensure GMP, food safety, and health & safety standards are met.
• Foster positive labor relations and continuous improvement initiatives.
