Job summary

Darling International Canada Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Moorefield, Ontario facility. You will lead the maintenance department, ensure safe, reliable operation of plant equipment, and drive preventive/predictive maintenance programs in compliance with Ontario regulations.

You will oversee capital planning, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration to support production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Maintenance Manager or equivalent leadership experience.
• Experience in rendering, food processing, or high‑compliance environments is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of OHSA, CFIA, HACCP and related regulations.
• Proven coaching, mentoring, and team development abilities.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department and supervise the Maintenance Supervisor and team.
• Develop preventive/predictive maintenance schedules and oversee work orders.
• Manage CMMS records, spare parts inventory, and uptime initiatives.
• Lead safety initiatives, audits, and incident investigations.
• Own budgeting, capital planning, and cost control for maintenance.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, HR, and other functions for reliability.
