Job summary

Resonaite is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function in a high‑volume manufacturing environment in Belleville, Ontario. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of production equipment, facilities, and maintenance operations.

The successful candidate will oversee preventative and predictive maintenance, manage a skilled team, coordinate capital projects, and drive uptime, safety, quality, and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and capital improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and vendor relationships.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Ontario health and safety legislation and manufacturing compliance requirements.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team, including workforce planning, scheduling, performance management, and training.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Drive equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions to address budget variances.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement long‑term corrective actions.
  • Manage daily maintenance priorities, equipment downtime, preventative maintenance compliance, overtime, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers supporting maintenance and facility projects.
  • Support capital projects by assisting with equipment specifications, cost estimates, installation planning, commissioning, and implementation.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical replacement components are available to support production.
  • Participate in facility upgrades, equipment relocations, and manufacturing expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Support investigations related to equipment failures, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation, procedures, and equipment records.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
