Job summary

Nexus Staffing Inc. represents a major GTA-based office furniture manufacturer seeking an administrator to support a busy production and shipping operation. The role focuses on coordinating daily shipping lists, processing orders, and keeping stock records up to date.

You will work with the Specials department, enter production orders, issue shipping tags, back up Leadhands, and act on safety and quality requirements while supporting the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Word, Excel, Google, BAAN.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Good decision making skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.
• Detail-oriented and hazard reporting.
• Adheres to EHS rules and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prioritize daily shipping list with Specials department Leadhands.
• Update completion of rush orders and coordinate with outside suppliers.
• Enter production orders into the system and print shipping tags.
• Check stock levels and inform cycle counter for adjustments.
• Supply and distribute pre-shift checklists and daily production sheets.
• Backup for Leadhands and perform other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.
