Job summary

Council for the Homeless seeks a Philanthropy and Events Manager to develop and execute annual giving strategies, oversee donor communications, and manage special events. You will collaborate with development and leadership teams to cultivate donors and align campaigns with the organization's mission.

The role requires strong fundraising experience, exceptional communication skills, and ability to manage budgets and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in nonprofit fundraising or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in philanthropy and event management.
• Strong donor stewardship and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with donor management software and event tools.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual giving strategy targeting new and existing donors.
• Oversee direct mail, digital campaigns, and donor appeals to meet fundraising goals.
• Lead planning and execution of fundraising events and donor appreciation activities.
• Manage donor acknowledgements, segmentation, and recognition programs.
• Prepare regular reports on campaign performance and ROI.
