About C5 Collaborative

The C5 Collaborative is a partnership of five leading Edmonton organizations: Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, Boyle Street Community Services, Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre, Terra

Centre, and Newcomer Centre.

Together, C5 delivers integrated services that support thousands of individuals and families annually through community hubs, youth programs, family supports, food security initiatives, employment services, and system navigation. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic fundraising professional to help build long-term sustainability and deepen community investment in our work.

Position Summary

The Donor Relations & Fund Development Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of C5's corporate and community fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will focus on cultivating relationships with businesses, sponsors, community partners, and individual donors while helping establish the systems and strategies necessary to diversify revenue and strengthen long-term sustainability.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, networking, storytelling, and creating meaningful partnerships that generate social impact. While some grant-writing support may be required, the primary focus of the position will be corporate sponsorships, donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnership Development
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Develop sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach meetings and presentations with prospective corporate supporters.
  • Build long-term relationships with local and regional businesses.
  • Maintain regular stewardship and communication with corporate partners.
Donor Development & Stewardship
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective donors.
  • Develop donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
  • Coordinate donor recognition and appreciation activities.
  • Create compelling impact stories and donor communications.
  • Support the growth of recurring and major gift programs.
Fund Development Strategy
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Fund Development Strategy.
  • Establish annual fundraising targets and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue diversification.
  • Support campaign planning and execution.
Events & Community Engagement
  • Coordinate donor cultivation events and fundraising activities.
  • Represent C5 at community events and networking opportunities.
  • Build relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Support public awareness and fundraising campaigns.
Systems & Reporting
  • Implement and maintain a donor relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Track donor interactions, fundraising activities, and revenue.
  • Prepare fundraising reports and dashboards.
  • Support impact reporting for donors and sponsors.
  • Assist with targeted grant opportunities where appropriate.
  • Coordinate information gathering from partner agencies.
  • Support proposal development and reporting requirements.
First Six Months
  • Complete a comprehensive fundraising assessment.
  • Implement and adapt Fund Development Strategy.
  • Create corporate sponsorship packages and fundraising materials.
  • Build an initial prospect list of 100+ corporate and donor leads.
Year One
  • Secure 3-5 new corporate partnerships.
  • Launch at least two donor engagement campaigns
  • Establish donor stewardship processes.
  • Build an active donor pipeline of 25-50 individuals.
  • Generate a minimum of $50,000 in new corporate and donor revenue.
Year Two
  • Secure an additional 3-5 corporate partnerships.
  • Grow donor pipeline to 75+ active donors.
  • Generate an additional $100,000+ in new revenue.
  • Develop a sustainability plan for continued fundraising growth.
Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Total funds raised annually.
  • Number of corporate partnerships secured.
  • Number of donor prospects cultivated.
  • Donor retention and engagement rates.
  • Sponsorship revenue generated.
  • Number of fundraising campaigns completed.
  • Growth of donor database and CRM utilization.
  • Implementation of the Fund Development Strategy.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, sponsorship development, sales, business development, or corporate partnerships.
  • Proven track record securing sponsorships, donations, or revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience with donor management software (CRM).
  • Knowledge of Edmonton's corporate and philanthropic landscape.
  • Experience developing sponsorship packages and fundraising campaigns.
