Job summary

Covenant House Vancouver is seeking a Philanthropy Officer to support midlevel donors and grow a meaningful portfolio. You will build relationships, communicate impact, and collaborate with teams to advance CHV’s mission to help youth experiencing homelessness.

In this role, you will engage donors by phone, email, and mail, participate in events, and contribute to donor strategy while learning about Vancouver’s housing needs and CHV’s programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fundraising and donor relations experience.
• College, university, or professional certificate is an asset.
• Experience in nonprofit or office environment preferred.
• Passion for Vancouver's homelessness issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of existing donors and solicit support.
• Build relationships with annual donors and understand their interests.
• Communicate impact of donations via phone, email, and mail.
• Coordinate with Prospect Development to learn about donors and plan connections.
• Learn about CHV programs and share stories with donors.
• Invite supporters to donor engagement events and other fundraising activities.
• Data entry into Raiser's Edge and respond to donations inquiries.
