Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy, Kingston location, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations across pharmacy and front store. You’ll drive service quality, merchandising standards, and team engagement while coordinating with pharmacy leadership to support patient care and operational efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a customer-first approach in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. Flexible hours and a commitment to safety are expected.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary education in business, retail management, healthcare, or related field is asset.
• 2–3 years of leadership experience in retail, pharmacy, or customer-facing environment preferred.
• Experience supporting pharmacy operations or health-related retail is a plus.
• Strong people management, scheduling, coaching, and performance support skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and help lead initiatives that advance store objectives.
• Assist daily store operations across pharmacy and front store to ensure service and standards are met.
• Promote health and safety, privacy, and compliance throughout store operations.
• Supervise, hire, coach, and schedule team members to improve engagement and performance.
• Monitor sales, labor, and productivity, and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership on dispensary workflow and inventory practices.
• Manage inventory, receiving, replenishment, and stock accuracy for all areas.
• Handle cash controls and regulatory requirements; lead on-duty when needed.
