Summary:

To manage the overall operations of the Pharmacy, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in dispensary maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage pharmacy and customer service operations.
• Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy.
• Practice within federal/provincial, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality requirements are met.
• Provide counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter products.
• Practice to the full extent of your professional scope.
• Be clearly identifiable to the public.
• Ensure accuracy of prescriptions dispensed.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals to coordinate customer care.
• Maintain records in accordance with legislation and policies.

Workflow and Inventory Management:

• Control access to the dispensary respecting inventory and confidentiality.
• Review workflow queues daily.
• Manage stock levels, expired inventory, and medication orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding controlled substances.

Operations:

• Maintain an appropriate image for the pharmacy environment.
• Participate in financial reporting as needed.
• Respond to store communications.
• File incident reports for medication or privacy issues.

Qualifications and Skills:
