Job description

Pharmacy Manager

Are you looking for a retail opportunity where you’ll be more than just a nametag to customers? A place where you’ll get the chance to know, help, and catch up with familiar faces every day? If so, we are the place for you. We provide a variety of pharmacy services such as diabetes management, heart health management, asthma / COPD management, women’s health, general health and wellness, medication management, community health resources, injection / travel health, and more.

We’re looking to add a new member to our team and continue our tradition of exceptional, personal service. That’s where you come in. As our new Pharmacy Manager, your role will be to oversee daily pharmacy operations, manage staff, build strategic initiatives, and work with patients. You’ll need strong organization, purpose, and caring in every task, and be comfortable dealing with a range of patients, including those with mental health challenges.

Your responsibilities will include dealing with support staff, physicians, and government agencies. You’ll bring strong leadership skills to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards common goals. You will drive sales, discover new opportunities, and understand our business performance. Working with your management team, you’ll set strategies, oversee execution, and help us grow. As an experienced pharmacist, you’ll bring a compassionate, patient-first approach, with knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding being a key skill.

Community involvement is important—supporting local events, volunteering, and building relationships are part of our culture, and you should share this community-minded spirit.

You’ll excel in this role if you possess:

  1. Independence – knowing what needs to be done without constant oversight.
  2. Dependability – making the right decisions reliably.
  3. Entrepreneurial mindset – eager to find new ways to grow the business.
  4. Foresight – planning and executing effectively, whether improving sales or solving logistical issues.
  5. Patient Centricity – prioritizing patient needs and serving them according to their individual lifestyles and medical requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent position. As a management role, flexibility beyond standard hours (9:00 am - 6:00 pm) is required. You’ll have the autonomy to solve problems your way, with support and space to succeed. Our diverse client base and supportive staff make this a rewarding opportunity.

Qualifications include:

  • Member of and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists / licensed to practice pharmacy in any Canadian province.
  • Experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy manager, preferably in retail pharmacy with direct customer interaction.
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience with advanced clinical services and natural health.
  • Experience in small, independent pharmacy settings is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Excel for inventory, scheduling, etc.).
  • Knowledge of pharmacy billing, accounting, and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Injection certification completed or willingness to complete it.

To apply, complete our online application, which assesses your qualifications, personality, and workplace preferences. It takes 10-15 minutes, and you’ll receive an email with your assessment results. We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
