Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy, a leading Canadian network, seeks a full-time Pharmacy Assistant for our Smithers, BC location. You will support pharmacists in patient care, handle prescriptions, and assist with daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy preferred.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software Kroll (training will be provided).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Pharmasave #105 (Pharmasave - 4th Avenue) is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Smithers, British Columbia.

Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• The regular shifts will be on weekdays, with occasional weekend flexibility as needed.
