Job description

Pharmasave Health Centre #207 is looking for a part‑time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities
  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
  • Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
  • Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
  • Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
  • Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Kroll, along with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry, is considered an asset.
  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Schedule
  • This position offers 24 hours per week, scheduled across three (3) days per week.
  • The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Regular shifts will be scheduled within these operating hours, and availability to work Saturdays is required.
