Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services. You will participate in maintaining and operating the Pharmacy per Practice Standards, ensuring timely and courteous service to customers in a community setting.

The role involves data entry for new prescriptions, processing refills, assisting with workflows, and coordinating with the pharmacist to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Good problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Set realistic wait-time expectations and process prescriptions.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer information.
• Assist pharmacist with prescription preparation and data entry.
• Answer telephone and refer to a pharmacist when necessary.
• Adhere to SOPs for administration and documentation.
