Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services within the store environment. You will handle prescription data entry, customer service, and administrative tasks under the supervision of a Pharmacist, contributing to efficient workflows and patient care.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing orders, assisting with third party billing, filing paperwork, and maintaining privacy standards;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information per Standards.
• Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, and labeling under pharmacist supervision.
• Adjudicate third party billing and manage related paperwork.
• Answer telephone calls and refer inquiries to a pharmacist when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in Pharmacy systems.
