Job summary

Sobeys in Stellarton is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our patient-centered pharmacy team. You will handle prescription data entry, processing transactions, and support clinical services like medication reviews and health risk assessments as part of a fast-paced community setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or Pharmacy Tech certificate or other recognized program required.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Record refill requests (in-person and phone) and deliveries.
• Promote PROprofile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, returns to stock, TMLs, third-party processing.

• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote PROprofile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you have to offer:

• Preferred: Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technology Certificate or other Pharmacy Recognized program
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
