Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Saint John, NB. You will handle prescription assembly, data entry, and customer transactions, while supporting medication delivery and refill requests.

You will contribute to compounding, pill pack assembly, inventory, and administrative tasks, upholding Sobeys standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements)
• BTC management
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
