Job summary

Lawtons in Antigonish, Nova Scotia is seeking friendly, knowledgeable individuals to join our pharmacy team. You will assist with prescription assembly, data entry, and customer service while supporting compounding, filing, and daily operations to ensure top care for patients.

Ideal candidates may have a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and previous pharmacy experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
