Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Vernon, BC, is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for the Polson location opening soon. You will handle prescriptions, input patient data, manage stock and inventory, and support the pharmacist with allergy and billing communications.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care within a community-focused pharmacy team, with opportunities to learn and grow and a strong emphasis on customer service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and "let’s get it done" attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

Compensation Details

• $19.00 - $23.00
• The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
