Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Sidney, BC is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, and help customers with questions in a fast-paced community setting.

You will input data, manage stock, ensure accuracy, and maintain friendly service. Wages are $19.00–$23.00 per hour with weekly pay; benefits, pension eligibility, wellness support, educational reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program or two years dispensary experience.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Receiving written prescriptions and refill requests.
• Inputting patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Ordering, receiving, returning stock; expiry checks and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, procedures and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interactions and billing information to the pharmacist.

We are hiring for a Pharmacy Assistant at our location in Sidney, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Receiving written prescriptions and written or verbal refill requests.
• Inputting all patient and prescription information into the computer.
• Performing all tasks related to ordering, receiving, and returning stock, expiry date checks, balance owing and inventory corrections.
• Adhering to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Communicating allergy interaction and relevant billing information to the pharmacist.

You have:

• Completed an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program or have 2 years dispensary experience.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Kroll computer experience is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$19.00 - $23.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
